FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR
IJIRA is an autonomous research
institute catering to the needs of Jute Industry with support of the Ministry of
Textiles. It is the premier R & D organization for jute and allied fibers in the
world.
Job Description
The
Director will be the chief Executive of the Association reporting to the
Chairman and the Council of Management.
The
person should be of high academic and professional distinction with proven
leadership and administrative abilities. He/ She should be able to assess the R
& D related issues and provide solutions to the technical problems faced by the
industry. Experience in transfer of technology would be an added advantage.
The
person should have been head of an organization for a minimum of 3 years.
The
incumbent must be at least 45 years of age on 1st January 2010.
Entitlements
Salary:
The salary for the post will be appropriate to the position of a Director of a
Premier Research Institute.
Other
perks include rent free semi-furnished family accommodation or HRA in lieu
thereof, and a car with driver.
The
appointment will be on contract initially for a period of 3 years, renewable
based on satisfactory performance.
