Research & Development
 

With the humble beginning of a testing laboratory in a hired building in 1937, IJIRA had legitimate growth over the years and moved to its current imposing premises in 1952. The institute was opened by the first Prime Minister of India – Jawaharlal Nehru. An additional six-storey building and a Pilot Mill were added later on to meet the expanding and demanding activities of IJIRA.
 

In addition to above, efficient administrative and internal service support are given by a well manned Administrative Division
